Within the framework of the communicative activity “Green Cultural Routes”, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Antiquities Ephorate of Larissa organizes the following events:

Friday 26 of May, 2017

Diachronic Museum of Larissa

a) 9.30am. - 12.30pm. An educational activity for Primary Education students will be held, on the subject an interactive approach to the Museum‘s exhibits with plant decoration. Refugee children accommodated in shelters by the Municipality of Larissa will also participate in this activity.

b) 6.30pm - 8.00pm. Children acting as tour guides will welcome visitors and through narrations, movement and music, will talk about Apollo and Daphne, the Centaurs, Asclepius, the witches of Thessaly and Hippocrates.

The event is held in association with Hippocrates Association.

The entrance is free of charge throughout the events.

Saturday 27 of May, 2017

A journey through nature to the so called “Little Tembi”, along the banks of Penios River. The event includes a speech by the archaeologist Mr. Stavros Gouloulis with the title “Gounitsa: a historical journey on the site” and a guided tour to the church of St. Nikolaos by the Head of the Antiquities Ephorate of Larissa, Mrs. Stavroula Sdrolia to be followed by a presentation of a traditional musical scheme.

The event will start at 10.30 a.m. and the meeting place is the church of St. Nikolaos of Amygdalea.

The event is a joint effort of the Vice Municipality for the Environment of the Municipality of Larissa, the Water Supply Plant of Larissa, the Local Community of Amygdalea and the Cultural Association of Amygdalea-Township of Amygdalea “Gounitsa”.
