Paleolithic arrowhead

Here, indicative tools made of flint stone and quartz of the Upper and Middle Paleolithic period (from the appearance of man up to 10.000 BC) are presented. The tools were surface findings at the banks of Peneios river. Along with the tools, some fossilized animal bones are exhibited, typical of the fauna of the area 30-45 thousand years ago. The men were hunters and food collectors, living in small groups which moved from place to place in search of food.
